Inferno Team Trophy / Couples

The INFERNO Team Trophy is the fun competition for well-trained hobby athletes. Whether with friends, club colleagues or company team, the Team Trophy is all about taking part in superb natural surroundings.

Max. 222 teams.

Team Trophy

Teams of four - whether women, men or mixed. Each athlete competes in one of the four race sections. Teams organise themselves; one vehicle per team is permitted. Minimum age: 16 years (with written consent of parent or guardian).

Couples

A Couple-Team constist of a man and a women, two women (Women-Couple) or two men (Men-Couple). Both pass 2 of the 4 sections. The subdivion of the sections can be chosen by themself. Teams organise themselves; one vehicle per team is permitted. Minimum age: 18 years.

Saturday, 16 August 2025

  • 06.00 Arrival at the official Team Trophy-Parking at the lido Thun
  • 06.15 Departure of the ship for Road Bikers and escort to Oberhofen
  • 06.30 Start swimming at the lido Thun
  • 19.30 Close of finish in Mürren (Alpine Sports Center)

The close of finish will be strictly adhered to for reasons of safety. Teams who do not achieve the following intermediary times will be not be permitted to continue the race:

  • Transition area Stechelberg 16.30

Categories

The INFERNO Team Trophy will be hold in three categories. The ranking list will be for "Mixed-Teams", "Women-Teams" as well as "Men-Teams".

Team Trophy

  • CHF 600.- for registrations till 31 January 2025
  • CHF 650.- for registrations till 30 June 2025
  • CHF 700.- for registrations till 9 August 2025

Couples

  • CHF 550.- for registrations till 31 January 2025
  • CHF 600.- for registrations till 30 June 2025
  • CHF 650.- for registrations till 9 August 2025

Included in the entry fee: 4x (2x) return trips Stechelberg – Mürren by Schilthorn aerial cableway, 4x (2x) Pasta-Party on Saturday in Mürren, free parking for the team-car in Stechelberg.

Prizes

The three leading teams will receive attractive natural prizes. The six leading teams of the Classic Team Trophy (4 participants mixed) will receive natural prizes as well.
All members of the finisher-teams will receive an INFERNO Team Trophy-Finisher-T-Shirt.

Registrations and deregistrations

We accept your registrations for 2025 starting from 11 November 2024 11:11 AM.
Cancellations due to health reasons will be accepted on presentation of a doctor’s certificate. Refund of the entry fee will be liable to a CHF 50.- deduction for administration costs.

Competition rules

The INFERNO Team Trophy is carried out in accordance with the Swiss Triathlon Federation (tri) rules under the supervision of the tri adjudicators. For participants of the Team Trophy to following thinks are important:

  • Swimming: A wet suit (Neopren) is obligatory for the swimming discipline. Neopren gloves or socks may not be worn.
  • Road Bike: Slipstream (drafting) is forbidden.
  • Road Bike and Mountain Bike: The wearing of an officially approved shell helmet is obligatory. This must be worn for the entire course (incl. ascent!).

No licences are required.
The Swiss Olympic Association is authorized to carry out doping tests

Competition regulations (extract)

The INFERNO Triathlon is held in Alpine and partially high-Alpine terrain. High demands are made on the personal responsibility of competitors. The following competition regulations apply analog Triathlon (extract):

  • The organizers may make changes to the course at any time.
  • In case of change of the routing or canellation of the event due to force majeure the organizer is not obligated to refund the starting fee.
  • Doctors and adjudicators deployed by the organizers may exclude competitors from the race if a health risk exists.
  • The cycle route is open to other traffic. It is imperative that road traffic regulations are observed.
  • The highest demands are made on equipment and materials. The organizers reserve the right to exclude from the competition athletes with inadequate or poorly maintained equipment (cycles and helmets).

The following must also be noted for the INFERNO Team Trophy:

  • Each team arranges its own transport during the race.
  • One vehicle is permitted per team to move along the stipulated route from Thun - Interlaken - Grindelwald – Stechelberg.
  • Team vehicles must be marked.
  • The team of any vehicle leaving the set route will be disqualified.
